Teacher and Parent Resources – Multimedia

This movie was created by the National Capital Planning Commission as part of the approval
process for Voyage placement on the National Mall in Washington DC. It was shown to the
Commissioners to provide an understanding of where the stanchions would be placed along
Jefferson Drive, with the inner Solar System on the east side of the National Air and Space
Museum, and extending to the Smithsonian Castle Building.

In celebration of Voyage‘s opening in Kansas City, Dr. Jeff Goldstein, Voyage National Program
Director, describes the Voyage experience for Kauffman Conversations – ‘Highlight Interviews
with thought leaders whose ideas and insights are changing society’, made available courtesy of
the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.

Dr. Jim Green, director of NASA’s Planetary Science Division, talks about the Solar System as he
walks the Voyage scale model from the sun to distant Pluto.
